Hmm, Is That A Paycheck I Smell?

Finally! The Job Fairy has smiled its fickle smile my way. On January 8th I was officially welcomed into the Nantahala Bank family as a teller. Thirty hours a week never looked so good. Everyone has been very nice, and has really made me feel wanted. I have two of the best immediate bosses anyone could ever have. They are both so sweet and patient, and are helping me become the best I can be at my job. I count myself very lucky to be making what I am at thirty hours a week. It looks like things are really starting to go right. We will really be able to save money now, and start our future. Now, if only my husband can find either another part time job, or a better job all together, then we will be set.
On a totally different note, today was our third Valentine's Day together. And what a wonderful one it was! He woke me up this morning to our song playing in the background, and gave me a very sweet card, a stuffed animal froggy, and an expansion pack for the Sims 3. I didn't expect all of that. He really and truly surprised me. I made a heart-shaped cake last night, and then today I made homemade heart-shaped crackers and a cucumber salad to go with them. I also made us a steak dinner with all the fixings. It was so romantic. We ate by candle light, and watched it snow outside. Later, we cuddled up on the couch next to a cozy fire and watched "The Time Traveler's Wife".
It has been a great day, and a great week. I'm so thankful to have a wonderful job and a loving husband to come home to. We're almost there...:)

You know, I am so thankful that things are finally looking up for you two. You're back home where you should be, you both have jobs, and you're surrounded by your family. I am so happy for you!

That V-day sounds A-MAZ-ING!!! I wish Daniel was romantic enough to do something like that (or would humor me with a genuine smile on his face...lol). But it's ok, I love him anyway. I love you, my Kimie!!!
